Varolii Intros Call Filtering Service for Automated Communications
By Arun Satapathy, TMCnet Contributor
Varolii Corp is now offering what it claims is the first multi-stage phone call filtering service for automated communications. This service enables organizations to expand customer reach while identifying and preventing all or some of the calls that are meant for a mobile phone.
Further, organizations with Varolii call filtering can comply with customer contact preferences and adhere to regulatory requirements without any deterioration in communication, as most of clients prefer to be contacted by mobile phone.
Consumers are increasingly opting to use mobile phones, rather than landlines, most or all of the time.
“Today, mobile penetration has reached 81 percent of U.S. households, and 12 percent of them eschew a traditional home phone,” said research firm Forrester (News - Alert) in a May, 2008 report.
Users can avail themselves of Varolii call filtering services through the company’s Interact on-demand communications platform. Clients require no third-party data-scrubbing contract or technology integration as this can be fully configured and activated quickly. With multiple filters and data sources, Varolii services can identify and prevent calls to either all numbers by discrete location or just mobile ones, including landline numbers that have been ported to wireless service.
Varolii services also enables clients to receive automated calls on mobile phones. This service offers users the right balance to filter automated calls.
“Varolii provides the greatest ability to cut through the ‘noise’ and get urgent notifications to the people who need them,” said Jeffrey Read, executive vice president of Field Operations for Varolii, in a statement. “Only Varolii strikes the right balance between adhering to stringent service commitments to get the notification out on time and providing unmatched flexibility in how and where to filter automated calls.”
