Wainhouse Research CSP Offers Insight into Collaboration Services and Telecom Fraud

By Susan J. Campbell, TMCnet Contributing Editor

Collaboration service providers are set to experience considerable growth in the industry and there are a number of factors to consider for a company to be able to embrace this growth and maximize the opportunities in the marketplace.

As more and more companies are seeking to reduce their spending on travel and are taking a closer look at their carbon footprint, alternative technologies are being examined for collaboration to reduce face-to-face meetings. Online collaboration is gaining more attention as it provides a perfect medium for companies seeking to pool their resources.

Too address these important elements in the market, collaboration service provider Wainhouse Research CSP (News - Alert) has scheduled its sixth annual summit to be held on Monday, October 27th at the Hilton Boston Logan hotel. The company will hold a sub-conference focused on Telecom Fraud the following morning.

Wainhouse Research CSP is expected to explore how collaboration service providers can poise themselves for growth while expanding the perception and value of their services within the enterprise. In slower economic times, companies in all industries must put more emphasis on the value they deliver to the company.

Those seeking to optimize their collaboration opportunities and take advantage of the growth in the market can rely on industry experts, such as Marisa Viveros (News - Alert) of IBM. Viveros presents “Do Not Try This at Home! Unified Communications are Catching On: How You Can Make it Easter.”

Tilman Becker of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence also often discusses his views on technologies in the market. Becker will explains how CSPs can drive new revenue in his presentation: “Beyond Conversation, How Emerging Technologies Can Engage More Participants in the Call.”

In addition to these industry experts, Wainhouse Research Senior Analyst Will Zachmann will also be part of the line up as he discusses enterprise social networks and the ESN hosted/managed opportunity.

Other topics will also be discussed by representatives from Powwownow, Ring2, 1CT, Intercall and Subex Ltd.  Such discussions will include the FCC's (News - Alert) Universal Service Fund decision on CSPs and the impact it will have on CSPs, the scope of fraud in the industry, and the emerging opportunity in mobile services.

The sub-conference to follow on Tuesday will explore telecom fraud more in-depth. Marc Beattie, the Managing Partner at Wainhouse Research and Thomas Walker, a Principal at Subex Limited, plan to help attendees understand the extent of this widespread and costly problem.

Open discussion among industry players and experts allows for the exploration of how the CSP industry can use its resources to address telecom fraud and reduce the overall impact, which amounts to millions of dollars every year.

Wainhouse Research CSP is providing a valuable service to those operating in or affected by the CSP industry by offering insight into the industry and the potential pitfalls surrounding telecom fraud. The company is focused on specific challenges and opportunities in the global industry that are having an impact now and how CSPs can better equip themselves for optimal performance.

BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System (BlackBerry MVS) BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System (BlackBerry MVS) converges office desk phones and BlackBerry® smartphones, allowing users to access standard enterprise voice features whether at their desks or on the go*. BlackBerry MVS encompasses BlackBerry® MVS Client software for BlackBerry smartphones, BlackBerry MVS Services of BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, and the Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite.

With BlackBerry MVS, BlackBerry smartphone users can access enterprise desk phone options directly from the menu interface of the BlackBerry phone application, while at the same time securely authenticating to the organization’s enterprise telephony system (PBX). BlackBerry MVS also gives IT administrators the control to set voice policies on the BlackBerry smartphone, so that inbound and outbound calls use the enterprise line. This allows for all mobile calls to be logged or recorded for compliance with regulatory or corporate standards.
