Metrico Wireless Launches Metrico Mobile Experience Program

Metrico Wireless (News - Alert), a provider of performance evaluation solutions for mobile devices, has started the Metrico Mobile Experience program to help users compare their mobile devices with other popular mobile devices available in the market.

The program is intended to help customers pick the mobile device of their choice from a wide range of products that are available to them. For example a user may show more precedence to browsing speeds in a smartphone than the other features available in it, another user would demand highest caller quality in a mobile device. The Mobile M.E. program will offer unbiased, objective information about mobile devices that is collected from everyday experience of mobile users.

The company has claimed that this program is not only beneficial to customers but also to carriers as well. Carriers, retailers, even the phone manufacturers can benefit from better information, and know how their mobile devices stack up in terms of performance which can significantly impact bottom lines.

Rich McNally, vice president of Information Products at Metrico, said that the company’s new Metrico M.E. program is designed to give existing Metrico customers – as well as other industry players, retailers and enterprises – a more comprehensive view of how the market’s most popular mobile devices are performing in the real world. With a subscription to Metrico M.E., they gain access to vital information on the Web, video, data and voice experience offered by devices.

There are millions of subscribers who spend billions of dollars per year on mobile subsidies and in order to cash on that market carriers OEMs, ODMs and component suppliers should have collective info about how their products perform on different networks and the types of components, sub-systems or chipsets that particularly enhance the user experience. The Metrico M.E. program offers that information from which both the makers and users of mobile devices can benefit from.

Analysts have pointed out that devices are playing a more critical role in sales, customer satisfaction and network upgrade decisions – and industry players need to understand how the mobile devices they offer are performing in the real world. Communications Service Providers and, in turn, consumers, as well as enterprises can benefit from data that enables the apples-to-apples comparison of the performance of popular mobile devices on specific wireless networks.
