Free Mobile Application from Sidebar Now Available on Blackberry.com

Santa Monica, Calif.-based Sidebar has announced a free mobile application for BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones. The application allows users to receive personalized content recommendations with content delivered daily. The application is available on Storm, Storm 2, Tour, Curve 8900 and Bold 9700 and is powered by Sidebar’s highly attuned proprietary optimization engine. Sidebar is also available on the Android (News - Alert).

Users can choose from categories of content including: Entertainment; Green Planet, Humor, Steals & Deals, Health, Mind & Body, Style & Culture, Modern Man and News & Info. Sidebar then gauges user interest based on their preferences and then personalizes it over time. In effect, users can enjoy content without going through the trouble of searching for it.

The application is also equipped with a built-in QR code reader that allows BlackBerry users to easily scan both 2D barcodes and quick response (QR) codes to receive price comparisons, product information and more.
