TCM MOBILE Licenses Patented Technology for Indian Joint Venture

TCM MOBILE LLC has entered into a definitive agreement to license its patented telecommunication technology to an Indian joint venture.

U.S.-based TCM MOBILE LLC has developed a patented Cellular VoIP technology that delivers mobile telecommunication services like voice, data, video and location-based advertising through mobile device.

The Indian venture – a partnership between GANTON India Private Limited and several Indian and International partners, including an investor group from TCM MOBILE -- is planning to launch the world's first commercial Cellular VoIP operating network in India.

It is in right now in the process of securing substantial credit lines for the purchase of related equipment. The projected capital expenditure is $300 million. The network will at first target service for 500,000 subscribers with a capacity to expand into millions of subscribers in other cities.

Sanjiv Kapoor, the CEO of GANTON India Private Limited, was appointed CEO of the joint venture company. According to Kapoor, the Indian market offers an opportunity for generating revenue for the organization as well as significant value additions in terms of image enhancement of the existing service providers.

The launch of the network will contribute towards the GDP growth of India. This is in line with the joint venture’s National Telecom Policy's key objectives. It is expected that the technically advanced network will create an international image for the Indian market in the eyes of investors.

The total network build-out will be deployed in stages over a three-year period. It will include 5,000 site locations that provide an initial coverage area of a significant portion of Delhi and the National Capital Region of Delhi. GANTON India Private Limited is a subsidiary of GANTON Limited, a multinational technology and investments company. As part of the joint venture, ZTE (News - Alert) Corporation will expand its supplier relationship with GANTON. ZTE Corporation also plans to provide related equipment for the build-out and deployment of the operating network.
