Misys Helps ClairMail Expand Mobile Banking Footprint



ClairMail has reportedly signed a strategic partnership with Misys, a global application software and services company.

According to a press release, this strategic alliance will extend ClairMail's mobile banking reach and global presence across Europe, Asia, Middle East, and Africa.

ClairMail's mobile banking and payment platform will be integrated into Misys own offering. Misys will then market the solution as a critical addition to its Misys Mobile solution.

Misys has more than 1,200 financial services customers, including all of the world's top 50 banks. This integrated product gives their bank customers a flexible, fully-integrated solution, which combines the benefits of SMS, mobile Web and ClairMail's unique Smart Client application in one streamlined interface.

Both partners have worked together to create pre-packaged modules that are integrated with a variety of Misys core banking services.

Misys Mobile is a component of the Misys portal platform, which includes front-office applications for teller, Internet banking and call center services.

ClairMail provides mobile solutions for banking, payment and card services. Their technology platform helps financial institutions realize the strategic potential of mobile banking.

In the release, Olivier Berthier, solutions director, Transaction Banking, at Misys, said this deal has enhanced the company’s existing mobile solution and provides bank customers with comprehensive mobile banking and payment functionality.

This partnership has also provided a new channel for marketing and revenue opportunities. By using this new integrated solution, banks will be able to retain customers and provide a superior mobile experience, added Berthier.

"Our agreement with Misys represents an important milestone for ClairMail, as we continue our rapid growth and further extend our global reach into new international markets," said ClairMail CEO Pete Daffern in the release. "By partnering with a global market leader, we will benefit from the access to Misys' strong customer base, as financial institutions around the world continue to realize that mobile is the strategic channel of the future."
