3eTI Delivers Wireless Solution to DoD

EF Johnson Technologies’ 3e Technologies (News - Alert) International (3eTI) subsidiary has landed a multi-year contract from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) to deliver a wireless sensor network solution.

According to a press release, the $4.8 million cost plus fixed fee contract has four options valued up to $21 million. Under the agreement, 3eTI will deliver a FIPS 140-2 Validated secure wireless solution that integrates diverse sensors into a large system while reducing infrastructure costs.

EF Johnson Technologies delivers secure broadband solutions that create a self configuring, self-healing secure wireless mesh network. This network enables seamless and secure voice, video, and data, and is popular amongst first responders in public safety and public service.

Under the contract, EF Johnson Technologies will provide the execution, design, development, implementation, testing and delivery of an important sensor network system.

The company has also bagged a new state-wide multi-year contract from a large state police force to provide its ES Series of Project 25 compliant mobile radios and accessories.
