Callax Picks SIP-Enabled Home Location Register from Blueslice

By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor

Callax International, a global telecom company specializing in low-cost communication services, reportedly has purchased a SIP-enabled next generation Home Location Register from Blueslice Networks.

Serving as the mission critical register for mobile subscriber management in the Callax mobile portfolio, Blueslice’s (News - Alert) ngHLR 3000 will offer flexibility to centralize subscriber profile information from domains other than 2G/3G.

Blueslice’s ngHLR 3000 is built on the Converged Subscriber Platform 3000, which combines a HLR/AuC, HSS, SIP Registrar and SIP Redirect Server to deliver the convergence of subscriber profiles across 2G, 3G, and VoIP domains. The Platform also centralizes subscriber information into one logical place.

The Converged Subscriber Platform 3000 also has a very high subscriber density and unequalled scalability in the market.

Ömer Varol, CEO, Callax International said that their company is focused on increasing the range of communication alternatives for their customers, while providing a competitively priced service.

They acknowledge the contribution of Blueslice Networks’ (News - Alert) ngHLR 3000, which has allowed them to deliver mobile services to their customers in an elegant and converged way with their existing fixed services.

Stephan Ouaknine (News - Alert), president and CEO, Blueslice Networks, said he recognizes Callax as a dynamic and innovative service provider with important operations in Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom. He also expressed his company’s delight at being part of Callax’s success and global expansion plan.

Blueslice Networks recently sold a SIP-enabled ngHLR, HSS and AAA, bundled into one fully integrated solution, to Unify Mobile who intends to start activities with one of its mobile operations in Switzerland, in&phone.

Blueslice’s CSP (News - Alert) 3000 includes the ngHLR and its Advanced Low Cost Roaming solutions. The solution will enable in&phone to offer subscribers new roaming features and significantly reduce, even eliminate, roaming charges.

BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System (BlackBerry MVS) BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System (BlackBerry MVS) converges office desk phones and BlackBerry® smartphones, allowing users to access standard enterprise voice features whether at their desks or on the go*. BlackBerry MVS encompasses BlackBerry® MVS Client software for BlackBerry smartphones, BlackBerry MVS Services of BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, and the Ascendent Voice Mobility Suite.

With BlackBerry MVS, BlackBerry smartphone users can access enterprise desk phone options directly from the menu interface of the BlackBerry phone application, while at the same time securely authenticating to the organization’s enterprise telephony system (PBX). BlackBerry MVS also gives IT administrators the control to set voice policies on the BlackBerry smartphone, so that inbound and outbound calls use the enterprise line. This allows for all mobile calls to be logged or recorded for compliance with regulatory or corporate standards.
