Most Powerful iPhone Now Available from Apple

For those anxiously awaiting the latest technology innovation, the wait is over for the newest update from Apple (News - Alert) iPhone (News - Alert). The company announced today the introduction of the new iPhone (News - Alert) 3G S.


This latest iPhone is designed to be the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet as it offers incredible new features that include improved speed and performance. In fact, this phone is designed to be twice as fast as iPhone 3G. It also offers longer battery life, a high-quality 3 megapixel autofocus camera, video recording and hands free voice control.

The iPhone 3G S also includes the new iPhone OS 3.0, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system. Customers also have access to more than 50,000 applications from Apple’s (News - Alert) revolutionary App Store. The new 3G S offers twice the capacity for the same price with a 16GB model for just $199 and a new 32GB model for $299.

Starting today, the iPhone 3G 8GB model is also available at the new breakthrough price of just $99. This is considered to be a huge milestone for the high end smartphone market.
"iPhone 3G S is the fastest, most powerful iPhone yet and we think people will love the incredible new features including autofocus camera, video recording and the freedom of voice control," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of WorldWide Product Marketing, in a Monday statement.
"And with a breakthrough price of $99, we are thrilled to get iPhone 3G into the hands of even more users who want them."

With this latest version of the iPhone, users can render Web pages quicker and launch applications faster. The new phone takes advantage of the OpenGL ES 2.0 standard for stunning high quality 3D graphics. Those users who enjoy mobile gaming and other graphics can get the most out of these intense applications.

With support of the 7.2 Mbps HSDPA for faster networking speeds and features a new 3 megapixel autofocus camera. It also offers a “tap to focus” feature and the ability to record high-quality video clips that can be edited right on the iPhone 3G S.
Other features offered in the new iPhone 3G S include:
  • Voice control for hands free operation
  • Voice activation of the Genius (News - Alert) feature
  • Compass (News - Alert) and built-in GPS
  • VoiceOver screen reader
  • Universal zoom to magnify the screen
  • Mono Audio combining left and right audio channels
  • Find My iPhone
  • Remote Wipe
  • Partner Applications to extend user values
 This list is by no means exhaustive in relation to the number of applications and features that are available on the iPhone and users are already aware of some of the fun and unique capabilities. For those who have been waiting for this latest release, this new iPhone is sure to deliver and never disappoint.
The new iPhone comes two days after Palm unveiled the Pre, TMC (News - Alert) (News - Alert) reported.
