InterCall Releases Mobile Assistant for BlackBerry Smartphones

InterCall (News - Alert), provider of conferencing and collaboration services, has released its conferencing on-the-go application, ‘Mobile Assistant’ for BlackBerry smartphones.

With this new offering, users can start making InterCall audio conferences with the push of a single button from their BlackBerry (News - Alert) smartphones.

This removes the need to enter a ten-digit dial-in number, conference code or leader PIN.

InterCall customers can host or join conferences as a participant or a leader and can even store up to 256 unique sets of audio conference details - from weekly recurring meetings to one time calls.

BlackBerry smartphones including the BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Storm, BlackBerry Curve 83 and BlackBerry Pearl series supports Mobile Assistant and starts working in matter of seconds with the apps on the machine.

"Mobile Assistant helps our customers get more done, whether they're at their desks, in their homes or on-the-go," said Warren Baxley, vice president, products at InterCall.

He added, "We've always known that our customer’s value mobility, but we've seen just how much since Mobile Assistant launched for BlackBerry smartphones. The number of initial downloads on BlackBerry App World has surpassed our expectations, thanks in large part to word of mouth from our customers."

Based in the United States, InterCall's reach extends throughout North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific. According to the company, its solutions are designed to help people and companies be more productive by providing advanced, yet easy-to-use audio, event, Web and video conferencing solutions that save time and money.

InterCall  recently announced InterCall Video Online, a first-of-its-kind Web-based scheduling tool which allows InterCall customers to use their calendar system to schedule and automatically launch conferences. Microsoft (News - Alert) Outlook and Lotus Notes users need only click to start their next video conference.
