AT&T Announces Top Selling Mobile Apps and Games for the First Quarter



Providing an insight into consumer behavior with regards to the content on their handsets, AT&T has recently released the top ten performing applications and games. According to the company, this data is based on new sales from January through March.
 
As handsets offer more services to users, mobile based content is becoming hugely popular among users. They are readily available, can be used while on the go, and the latest handsets are easier than ever before.
 
According to AT&T, the ten top performing apps of the first quarter included AT&T Navigator, AT&T Mobile TV, Napster Mobile, XM Radio Mobile, MobiTV (News - Alert), WikiMobile, Shazam, Make-UR-Tones, My-Cast Weather, and MobiVJ.  
 
The top ten performing games include Tetris, Bejeweled, Guitar Hero, PAC-MAN by Namco, Ms. PAC-MAN by Namco, Jewel Quest II, Diner Dash, The Oregon Trail, Midnight Pool 2, and Platinum Sudoku.
 
 “Mobile applications help customers customize their handsets and better utilize the capabilities of their devices," said Mark Collins (News - Alert), vice president of Voice and Data Products for AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets. "Whether our customers want to stay connected to their favorite sources for entertainment or have 24/7 access to information, we offer apps relevant to the task.”
 
As proof to the popularity of mobile content, AT&T (News - Alert) currently offers more than 90,000 pieces of content AT&T MEdia Mall. Users have a wide range of options to make the best use of their handset features with countless ringtones, graphics, games, and other useful features.
 
AT&T recently launched a fully managed Private Content Distribution Service (PCDS) which is designed to help enterprises deliver rich media content (i.e. video). The service is immediately available and is targeted to companies of sizes ranging from large MNCs to mid-sized enterprises. This launch allows the customers of AT&T to buy a comprehensive solution that includes the procurement of the necessary equipment, installation, monitoring, and trouble ticketing, patching, reporting and day-to-day operational support of the service.
