Israel's Pelephone Picks Amdocs to Support Launch of New Network Services
September 25, 2008

Pelephone Communications, an Israel-based mobile service provider, has selected the Amdocs (News - Alert) Service Delivery and Control Solution to create, deliver and manage new services for its new Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UMTS) network.

Currently using the same solution on its Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) network, Pelephone plans to expand its use to provide a consistent customer experience with the same kinds of services, user interface and self-care across both its networks.

Part of the Amdocs CES (News - Alert) Portfolio, Amdocs Service Delivery and Control enables service providers to quickly launch a number of services, such as ringback tones, personal greeting and more to its subscribers quickly. The solution supports any network type and allows service providers to offer services to prepaid, postpaid and convergent subscribers.

Amdocs CES is an integrated portfolio that delivers the operating environment service providers need to transform from providers of utility voice, data and video services into purveyors of the digital lifestyle. Amdocs CES allows providers to deliver an optimal customer experience-personalized, participatory and timely across any service, location and device.

The Amdocs CES portfolio leverages Amdocs business process best practices based on real-world scenarios, and transcends traditional business support systems (BSS), operations support systems (OSS) and service delivery platforms (SDPs) to enable service providers to address both current and emerging customer experience business processes.

"Extending Amdocs Service Delivery and Control to our new network will enable us to provide our customers the same rich experience across both of our networks," said Doron Kurtz, vice president of engineering and technology at Pelephone, in a statement.
"The Amdocs solution provides the agility and cost-effectiveness we need to support our continued growth in the Israeli market and improve our customers' experience. It's an easy and cost effective way for us to compete and capture new revenue streams without passing costs on to our subscribers."

A global company with revenue of $2.84 billion as of fiscal year 2007 end fiscal 2007, Amdocs has more than 17,000 employees and serves customers in more than 50 countries.
