MobiWork recently announced that HoldRiver, a private investment group based in Nice, France, has extended it $2.5M in funding to help drive delivery of mobile technology solutions within the market.
In a release, Hervé Rivère, founder and CEO of MobiWork said that, “We are excited to close this level of funding at this stage of our evolution, to fuel the delivery of innovative mobile technologies to the market. We have a worldwide customer and partner base that are dependent upon our solutions, and this capital injection will provide additional assurance and validation of our current and future plans for aggressive expansion.”
MobiWork, a Florida-based, privately owned software technology company, will direct the funds to speed up the development of smartphone/tablet based mobile workforce solutions for organizations employing a mobile workforce. The company’s 'MWS' offering, which has been based on a fully integrated smartphone and SaaS (News

The funding from HoldRiver will help MobiWork expand its infrastructure and base of operations. Additionally, MobiWork will use the funds to enhance and drive growth for direct sales and partner channels.
Rivère added, “We will be making significant announcements throughout 2012 regarding new and upgraded offerings in the mobile workforce sector, continuing to build on our SaaS/cloud and smartphone/tablet platform. MobiWork will raise the bar both for businesses that are looking to modernize their ability to service customers with mobile workers, and for partners who are looking to add new mobile solutions to their portfolio.”
The company’s mobile workforce management solutions have been designed to improve connections between entire workforce of an organization and its customers. Unlike traditionally used solutions, MobiWork’s solutions are not restricted to simple tracking of vehicles, and use a smartphone or tablet to enable connectivity.
