Equinox Information System’s premier fraud management system, Protector has been deployed by the telecommunications service provider, Horry Telephone Cooperative or HTC (News - Alert). The latest version Equinox's mediation and analytics platform, TeleLink will be also incorporated by HTC.
The TeleLink mediation system was chosen by HTC over eight years ago for computerizing its usage record communication process. HTC has now decided to go ahead and implement version 5 of TeleLink after being satisfied with the system’s dependability and superiority.
In a press release, Jim Forbes, Director for Information Services at HTC said, "Depth of experience, attention to detail, and quality support are key reasons why HTC continues to work with Equinox on software development projects. Protector allows us to now take a proactive approach in fraud detection. With the many new features in TeleLink, HTC has even more sophisticated tools for managing our usage data and analyzing network traffic and cost. "
Downstream operational support systems or OSS are provided organized usage and call data by Equinox's mediation and revenue assurance platform, TeleLink, which also combines all switch types. Strong reporting capabilities are also provided by TeleLink by edifying and transforming usage records. Distrustful and counterfeit activity can be identified by Protector’s real-time fraud protection by tracking usage records with pre-defined configurable metrics.
“Our relationship with HTC has stood the test of time because we continue to deliver reliable software systems that produce results in addition to providing customer support that goes beyond the call. We are committed to the success of our customers, including helping them protect their bottom line. We accomplish this task by providing industry-leading fraud management and mediation tools, just as we did for HTC,” said David Ledbetter, National Sales Director at Equinox.
HTC offers local telephone service, long distance, Digital Wireless, Digital Cable, High-Speed Internet Access, and advanced business services. Exceptional high-speed Internet access is available with HTC’s high-tech fiber optic network, Bluewave.
