Connect One (News - Alert), a provider of device networking solutions, announced the release of commercial-grade versions of its Nano WiReach and Nano Socket iWiFi modules.
The commercial-grade embedded Wi-Fi for climate-controlled settings are available for a 25 percent price reduction. The company had designed its original modules for harsher conditions and an extended temperature ranging from -20ºC to 75ºC.
The company claims that new and existing customers can benefit as the new commercial-grade versions are capable of offering wireless connectivity environments to in-building or climate-controlled areas in a narrow temperature ranging from 10ºC to 65ºC.
“Wireless connectivity offers industries a secure, much more flexible and less expensive way to achieve M2M connectivity for the typical, climate-controlled workplace,” said Erez Lev, vice president of Sales for Connect One, in a statement.
“These commercial-grade versions honor Connect One’s tradition of offering its customers a wide range of product choices, each economically priced to fit the customer’s application. We encourage anyone who can to use these modules and take advantage of this 25 percent price reduction,” Lev added.
Connect One has requested its new and existing customers to check their product temperature needs. The company claims that customers can benefit from the reduced cost of the commercial-grade Nano WiReach and Nano Socket iWiFi modules because the form, fit and function is 100 percent compatible with extended-grade modules and there is no need for redesign of the products.
Applications targeting more moderate conditions can choose the commercial-grade Nano WiReach and Nano Socket iWiFi for designs because they are 100 percent compatible in form, fit and function to the original, extended-temperature versions, according to company officials. The company is offering a full suite of Internet Protocols and applications with Nano WiReach and Nano Socket iWiFi.
Based on Connect One’s iChipSec CO2144 IP controller chip, the new features enable full–featured secure connectivity. The company has customized new modules for seamless integration. The modules offer immediate connectivity without Wi-Fi driver development or porting and support several modes of operation.
Earlier in July, Connect One released Nano WiReach SM, a Wi-Fi module offering 3G routing, Wi-Fi client and access-point capabilities. Nano WiReach SMT offers multiple hardware interfaces and firmware functionality that facilitates a full suite of secure Internet protocols for up to eight Wi-Fi users in its router or access point mode.
