Dharmendra Kumar Appointed Aruba Networks' President for India and SAARC



Aruba Networks (News - Alert), Inc., a provider of next-generation network access solutions for the mobile enterprise, has appointed Dharmendra Kumar as president - India and SAARC.

Kumar will report to Gary Jackson, vice president of Sales, Asia-Pacific/Japan at Aruba Networks.

Prior to Aruba, Kumar was the regional sales director at EMC (News - Alert) for two years, with key responsibilities for the storage and backup businesses. In his career span of 22 years, he has also worked in diverse capacities across companies like Datacraft, Force10 Networks (News - Alert), D-Link, and Cisco.

Officials with Aruba Networks said that Kumar’s appointment will help to drive the company’s next stage of business growth in India.

“India is today one of Aruba’s key global growth markets. Dharmendra’s extensive experience in the Indian networking industry is a significant advantage for us in maintaining market leadership and further growing our share in the wireless networking segment,” said Jackson, in a statement.

“We see tremendous potential in India’s growing demand for enterprise wireless solutions. I welcome this tremendous opportunity to take the company to the next level of success in this fast-growth market,” said Kumar.

Kumar has a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka. 

Recently Aruba Networks announced that Aaron's, Inc., a company focusing on the sales and lease ownership and specialty retailing of residential and office furniture, consumer electronics, home appliances and accessories, has deployed a mobile access network based on the Aruba Mobile Virtual Enterprise (MOVE) architecture at more than 1,800 stores in 48 states and Canada.

The company reported that Aaron's is using the network to enable workers to roam seamlessly between sites and to enhance customers' experiences in the store.
