Saguna Networks and Jet-Stream Form Partnership to Provide Mobile Networks

Saguna Networks recently announced a strategic alliance for the delivery of federated Content Delivery Network solutions for mobile network operators with Jet-Stream. Saguna Networks is a provider of accelerated Radio Access Network (RAN) application and mobile content delivery over the HSPA and LTE (News - Alert) networks and Jet-Stream delivers an advanced range of Content Delivery Network (CDN) technologies.

In a release, Stef van der Ziel, CEO of Jet-Stream, said that, “We have strong expectations for our collaboration with Saguna. Together with Saguna, we are offering a new approach to federated CDN that creates greater value for mobile operators and content owners.”

The strategic collaboration between both companies will provide mobile network operators with a joint solution that incorporates the Saguna CODS, which optimizes cost of web content and applications across mobile networks along with the Video VideoExchange Content Delivery Network technology offering from Jet-Stream. Mobile network operators leveraging the joint solution will now be able to use their RAN investment for an Intelligent Network which will allow them to effectively manage and deliver content to mobile subscribers from the edge of the network directly.

Lior Fite, CEO at Saguna Networks, said that, “The integration with the Jet-Stream federated CDN solution is creating new dimension for content delivery over mobile networks. Mobile operators using our joint solution can now actively participate in the OTT market and offer CDN services that guarantee the best possible view experience for subscribers.”

A major benefit provided by the joint solution will be expanded monetization avenues for mobile network operators. Additionally, the CDN network will offer enhanced quality of experience as dictated by content owners and subscribers.
