WDT Acquires Base Velocity's RadarScope Suite of Apps

Weather Decision Technologies recently announced that they have acquired Base Velocity's suite of RadarScope branded products. The four founders of Base Velocity have also joined WDT to support the company's mission to provide life-saving mobile weather applications.

RadarScope is a display utility designed for weather enthusiasts and meteorologists. It helps them use their mobile phoness, Macs or even iPads to view NEXRAD radar data and harsh weather warnings.

In a release, Mike Eilts, President and CEO of WDT, Inc, said, "Base Velocity, known for its flagship RadarScope application, is among the most respected names in the weather application developer community. We are delighted to add the high-level talent of the Base Velocity team to our mobile development operations moving forward."

RadarScope is said to be one of the highest grossing premium weather apps available in the App Store and Android (News - Alert) Market. The application is the latest addition to WDT's portfolio of mission-critical weather applications which are targeted at weather enthusiasts, general consumers and enterprises.
