Locaid Technologies, a Location-as-a-Service company, recently cited its major achievements and the milestones it reached during its journey to the top.
The company stated that it increased its customer base by adding more than 100 customers and launched service on all Tier 1 North American wireless carriers. It also secured $13 million in a series C financing round to support the company's growth.
With an 886 percent increase, Locaid stated that it emerged as the network provider with the greatest volume of transactions. It also said that it ensured business continuity by setting up an industry record of 99.9 percent uptime.
LocaidXchange Platform, the company's mobile location platform gained more than 100 large enterprise and mobile companies, including three of the five largest M2M companies.
According to company sources, all Tier 1 carriers in North America recognized Locaid as a preferred provider of location services and it was launched by Verizon Wireless as its only business solution partner. AT&T (News
- Alert) turned to Locaid to enable its new Location Information Services Platform while the financial services industry selected its location gateway as the most suitable one to counter fraud. In addition, Locaid launched Instant Locate, a web service that helped to locate any customer.
Locaid stated that it received CTIA's (News - Alert) "Big Idea" in Innovation Award for LOCAIDER and also the RCR Wireless Award for "Most Innovative Start-Up Company in Mobile."
The company, which held the first Locaid executive offsite meeting at Burning Man in Black Rock City, Nev., operates a location privacy platform that allows mobile developers to locate over 350 million devices for enterprise authentication, fraud management and more and locates any mobile device on leading wireless carriers.
