Vacationers going to Canada or Mexico have a reason to celebrate as AT&T (News
- Alert) recently announced the launch of new discount voice packages that will benefit travelers to Canada and Mexico. The new package is called AT&T Canada and Mexico Travel Minutes and will be made available starting January 22nd.
The new plan from AT&T is ideal for vacationers or anyone planning a short stay in either of the two countries. Four calling options have been provided by AT&T under the new international roaming package which will offer customers value over pay-per-use rates.
For a monthly fee of $24.99, customers are provided 50 minutes of talk time. The overage rate for this option is $.79 per minute. Similarly, for $49.99 per month and $99.99 per month, customers are offered 125 and 275 minutes of talk time respectively. The overage rates for these options are $.59 and $.49 per minute respectively. Customers who want higher talk time can opt for the $199.99 per month package. This option provides 800 minutes of talk time at overage rate of $.39 per minute.
Several discount roaming packages providing international messaging and data services abroad are also offered by AT&T Inc. These include AT&T Global Messaging packages and AT&T Data Global Add-On packages. Travelers can share their experiences using text, picture, video and instant messaging with AT&T Global Messaging package. All these features are provided for one monthly rate.
