Retalix Mobile Shopper Launches App for a Compelling Shopper Experience
January 17, 2012

In an effort to take the customers’ mobile shopping experience to a new level, Retalix Ltd has introduced Retalix 10 Mobile Shopper, a new set of mobile applications that connects consumers to the retailer ecosystems and to their favorite local store.

Retalix is a global provider of software and services for high volume, high complexity retailers, including supermarkets, convenience stores, fuel stations, drugstores and department stores. The company explained that Mobile Shopper has been designed to enable consumers to manage their shopping inside and outside the store at any time.

The application can be used for many other purposes such as finding store locations, finding information about a product and its price or for viewing special offers.

In addition the application also allows the customers to make payments.

Mobile Shopper makes the entire shopping cycle easier for today’s consumers, according to company officials. Some of the highlights are that users can prepare shopping lists before entering stores, easily perform real-time price and item availability checks, scan items by themselves, and pay for them directly from the mobile device via a variety of payment methods, including at fuel forecourts, thus reducing checkout time, and finally, receive a digital receipt.

The Mobile Shopper is said to benefit both the buyers and the sellers. While, the application will empower the retailers with technological and business capabilities that will help them stay ahead of the competitors, it will complement the digital lifestyle of today’s consumers for their maximum convenience, officials said. Retalix 10 Mobile Shopper is expected to help retailers meet the expectations of today’s consumers, who are constantly connected to the people, organizations and information through mobile devices.

Retailers are invited to tie Mobile Shopper to any of their loyalty and customer management programs. The tie-in will enable retailers to offer targeted promotions and coupons, while shoppers will benefit from gaining access to plethora of product information and ability to manage their loyalty account information online.

Powered by Retalix 10 Store Suite and Retalix's patent-pending Shopper Gateway software, Retalix 10 Mobile Shopper applications run on the popular mobile platforms, including iPhone, Android (News - Alert) and Windows Phone devices, and can be completely integrated into any retailer store environment. This enables a unified shopper experience at the store, and access to store-specific promotions.

“Retalix 10 Mobile Shopper is yet another exciting step in Retalix's offerings, helping retailers to provide a superior shopping experience that is unified across all shopper touch points and sales channels,” Retalix Chief Executive Officer Shuky Sheffer. “With the new Retalix 10 Mobile Shopper apps, we believe that retailers can now better serve digital-minded shoppers, stay well ahead of the competition and strongly differentiate their brand in the mobile ecosystem.”

Earlier this month Retalix announced that Target (News - Alert) Corporation, a leading U.S.-based retailer with more than $70 billion in annual revenue, has selected the Retalix 10 Store Suite as its next-generation store platform for Target's new retail operations in Canada.
