Telekomunikacja Polska Selects NetCracker Solution
January 12, 2012

Polish operator Telekomunikacja Polska has selected NetCracker (News - Alert) telecommunications and operations management solution for new high capacity projects.

Telekomunikacja Polska, a subsidiary of France Telecom Group, is one of Central Europe’s largest converged communications service providers with more than twenty-two million fixed and mobile subscribers.

NetCracker’s solution is expected to help the Polish operator streamline a number of new initiatives, including their current fiber optic backbone management as well as the rollout of new FTTx solutions.

“We selected NetCracker based on their track record for helping operators of our size and complexity roll out new services and improve overall internal operational efficiencies,” said Maciej Bernas, TP group director for systems OSS at Telekomunikacja Polska (News - Alert), in a statement.

“We are eager to cooperate with NetCracker during this phase of our transformation,” said Bernas.

“NetCracker’s relationship with France Telecom (News - Alert) Group dates back to 2005 when we were selected to be part of FT’s initiative to standardize services, solutions, and processes across FT Group affiliates in order to maximize profitability and leverage knowledge and experience,” said Andrew Feinberg, president and CEO of NetCracker.

Feinberg said that the company is pleased to expand its relationship with Telekomunikacja Polska and be a part of their effort to bring innovative new services to their customers.

NetCracker Technology, a subsidiary of NEC (News - Alert) Corporation, is a provider of telecom operations and management systems to communications service providers worldwide.

In September, TMCnet reported that NetCracker Technology has reached an agreement with Subex Ltd. to acquire its activation and provisioning business in an asset sale.

As part of the pact, NetCracker will acquire Subex’s NetProvision, NetOptimizer, and Vector products, and the associated business.

NetProvision and NetOptimizer represent what was previously the Syndesis business covering the provisioning and activation domains.
