With customers utilizing multiple networks, Sprint conducted extensive end users trials to evaluate the impact of using Mobile Network Director. The analytics proved that Sprint (News 
- Alert) could improve the customer’s network experience through this unique approach and the trial results have been very positive, the company stated in a press release.

Smith, Jr., president and CEO of Smith Micro Software. “We are excited to provide Sprint with a solution that automatically selects the best network option for the customer. Mobile Network Director makes the use of Wi-Fi much simpler, which is a great convenience for the customer at home and in office environments. Testing has proven that Wi-Fi management can actually improve battery performance.”
Sprint can now meet today’s unprecedented growth in mobile data services with the help of Mobile Network Director. During peak traffic periods, the precise, intelligent device controls provided by the solution can selectively manage data traffic in targeted locations. Enabling automated and seamless transitions between networks, Mobile Network Director provides Sprint the ability to adjust network selection on subscribers’ devices as they move between coverage areas. Since Mobile Network Director can turn on and off device radios as needed, battery life on devices is increased.
