Telefonica Mexico Launches Movius' Second Line Mobile Service
January 10, 2012

Telefonica (News - Alert) Mexico, in collaboration with Movius Interactive Corporation, has launched a second line service to allow users to operate more than one line from a single device. The Second Line service enables users to manage multiple phone numbers from the same device thus providing a simple and unified communication solution  to merge all their communication onto a single device.

Telefonica Mexico has operations in 13 Latin American countries and has presence in 25 countries across the globe. It unifies all its operations under Movius (News - Alert) Interactive Corporation. Movius Interactive Corporation is a leader in unified communication solutions for telecommunication providers around the world.

In a release, Movius President and CEO Dominic Gomez, said, “We are tremendously excited by the potential of Side-Line Service. Our commitment to its development – backed by the interest and support of one of the world’s leading operators in Telefonica – is now bearing fruit, not just for us and Telefonica Mexico but for thousands of users across the country who wanted an easier way to manage multiple phone numbers.”

There is a significant rise in mobile phone service usage and subscribers purchasing multiple phone numbers to segregate business and personal mobile use in Latin American countries. Until now, subscribers had no option other than purchasing separate devices for each phone number and consequently carry multiple handsets or have a multi-SIM phone. The launch of Second Line Mobile Service by Movius puts an end to managing separate devices for each number and multi-SIM phones which are often tiresome and complex to use. Movius’ Second Line Service provides an affordable and convenient second line to allow users to make/receive calls as well as text SMS’s for separate numbers independently. Additionally, it can also dynamically direct incoming calls to the primary mobile number or to a voice messaging system.

Gustavo Ledesma, the Marketing Director of Telefonica, said, “We have collaborated closely with Movius to offer a high quality solution that is easy to use and affordable for our clients."
