NetQin Mobile Security to be Pre-Installed on Motorola Android Smartphones in China

NetQin Mobile and Motorola Mobility have signed an agreement to pre-install NetQin Mobile Security on Motorola Android (News - Alert) smartphones in China .

NetQin Mobile is global provider of consumer-centric mobile security and productivity applications, while Motorola is an innovator of communications technology and products. The new agreement calls on both the companies to ensure that consumers have instant access to the strongest mobile security application and services on the market.

“With mobile threats expected to reach an all-time high in 2012, this agreement comes at the right time to give smartphone users the security they need for their mobile devices, as well as all the personal and financial data on them,” said Dr. Henry Yu Lin, chairman and CEO of NetQin.

He said that the company has partner with Motorola (News - Alert) Mobility to bring the powerful security to their Android customers. “This is another step towards ensuring that users around the world can enjoy their mobile life in a safe and secure environment.”

The first Motorola Android phones include NetQin Mobile Security. It’s expected to be shipped at the beginning of 2012. Company officials said that Motorola customers will receive 60 days of free access to NetQin Mobile Security Premium features.

These features: protect against malware, spyware, hackers, and all mobile threats; secure the personal and financial data stored on smartphones; and keep devices running at optimum speed.

Additionally, these features also provide backup and restore tools to: protect data; locate, lock, and delete information from lost or stolen phones; and provide control over running apps, power consumption, and data usage.

Last month in December, NetQin Mobile signed an agreement with Commtouch (News - Alert) to integrate Commtouch’s GlobalView URL Filtering into NetQin Mobile Security.
