February 23, 2011

Verizon Wireless has announced the release of the updated version of its V CAST Music app providing ringtones, ringback tones and full-track songs in a user friendly application such that Android (News - Alert) smartphone users can enjoy music of their choice in an easy and economic way.

In a release, Greg Haller, vice president of consumer solutions for Verizon (News - Alert) Wireless, said that “Verizon Wireless is taking a leap forward with V CAST Music. We're bringing the different kinds of music people love to have on their phones together in one, easy-to-use application, making it easy for customers to get what they want at lower prices. We've added features to V CAST Music that make it simple and more fun to enjoy your favorite music on your phone and with your friends and family.”

With the release of the updated version of V CAST Music compatible with Android 2.1 or higher versions, the Android smartphone customers have been enabled to procure full-track songs for $0.69, $0.99 and $1.29 per song which come in high quality MP-3 format. The V CAST Media Manager allows users to transfer the downloaded songs to a computer or any other MP-3 compatible device. The new V CAST Music app also allows customers to download multiple formats of the same song at lower rates.

By purchasing and managing Jukeboxes of ringback tones capable of rotating messages, the callers will hear different tones each time they make a call. The updated version of V CAST Music app incorporates a wish list feature by which the customers can express the type of music they wish to purchase.

On certain selected collections of Android phones, the V CAST Music app is being presented as an inherent app whereas the already existing customers with phones devoid of the V CAST Music app can easily download the latest version from the Android Market free of cost, provided they have a data package on their account.
